From Hip hop and R & B music you learn a great deal of lessons just like any other music genre...But in Hip hop and R & B music you also learn a great deal of regrets. "You can get advice on careers from Ice- T rhymes. Reflect on spirituality through Kanye West tunes. And foster self-esteem listening to Mos Def." Hip hop music expresses life's troubles and problems. Hip hop and R & B music have embedded life lessons within the lyrics. Effecting alot of teenagers' actions along with how they carry themselves, think, write and react to situation. In the music you often here political and religious statuses. You here Barack Obama being said as inspiring, powerful and envisioned when success comes to mind. There are both positive and negative perceptions of music theses days, especially in the hip hop and R & B music genre.
To me, I see R & B slowly progressing into a defferent form...I seem to be viewing this genre differently. I see some songs, and the lyrics hit me hard and I feel like alot of people can learn or hear what the artist is trying to express. And other times, I listen to other songs still part of the hip-hop and R & B genre and son't see the point in the song, it has no take or meaning on life.
Others see hip hop and R & B music as a well put entertainment genre, only because that's what they grew up listening to. Never the less, We both can agree that R & B and Hip hop music inspires alot of people and its forming differently expressing society.
